I use the joomla banner and I would like to have the picture in the center of a module.

Then you have to insert your image like this:

<img style="display:block; margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;" src="banner.jpg" width="505" height="224" alt=""/>

Could you explain more in detail. I use the joomla banner component and I don't have a field to insert a code like you posted for each banner picuture.

Then you have to edit the "mod-banner" module. It has nothing to do with the template.
