You dont need to change anything, only these 2 files.
Try following
1.) Delete these 2 files from server via FTP
2.) Upload your new files via FTP

Ok, I delete it, no upload anything. Clear the cache and the favicon and the other still appears ... Safari is taking these icons elsewhere.
