how to avoid scrolling after clicking menu item?

Hello,

With 'stick menu = on' the top menu follows the user, as he scrolls down the site. Me like.
However, after a menu item gets selected, the main site scroll to the top. This can be confusing because of the large images of the Headerbar: the user has to scroll down, to see the requested item.

Question: how to freeze the scroll movement, after clicking a menu?

I have studied the 'Smooth scroll option' but not much success there:
a) can not scroll to #breadcrumps ?
b) can not combine the scroll option with switching to an article?

if you click on a menu item on th sticky menu, then Joomla is loading a new site! Sorry thats Joomla!

a.) You cant scroll to breadcrumbs, because the breadcrumbs have not DIV ID
b.) You can scroll to an article if you add an anchor to the article source like this:

Still not there, let me tell you a bit more.
(I'm quite a beginner with Joomla. Excuse me if this is just basic stuff)
What I'm trying to do is scroll to an Image Gallery. I assume the Gallery will be some kind of module, that I have to install. For now, I'm working with RokSprocket Module, but think I will search for alternatives, that shows images from a folder (not having to manually add an item for each picture). I will figure that out later.
Secondly, allthough at the moment I'm having troubles with only showing the image gallery if the specific menu item is selected, I think I will work this out.
Thirdly, back to the scrolling issue: In case of using the anchor in a dummy article as suggested, my menu action needs to do two things: make the article visible at the breadcrumps section and b) scroll to it. However: there is only one menu command possible (show single article OR link to external URL).
Or, can I place the dummy article with the anchor code permanent in the Breadcrumps section?

if you want to have a great gallery, shows thumbs from a folder I would take a look at the plugin below:
extensions.joomla.org/extension/ppgallery/

You cant scroll to the breadcrumbs, but you can scroll to the main content with this link "#main"

thank you, I've got PPgallety working and it looks good: Just one disadvantage: it is bad suited for mobile device, because a) no swiping to next image, b) zoom level too high, after clicking on an image and c) 'back' leads to upper home menu, instead of going back to gallery.

Can you advise an alternative gallery module?
Maybe also one that can show all videos of a youtube account?
