error when selecting link to registered article

i get an error, You are not authorised to view this resource, when i select a link to a registered article rather than the login page.
The article is assigned to a registered menu & i have put a link to it from a public blog item.
I have a login menu set up.
Is there a way to fix this ?

You will always get a message if you link to an registered article.

You are not authorised to view this resource

If you want to show the login page instead the message you need a plugin I think.

But its a Joomla question and have nothing todo with our theme!
