Gusto Template - Testimonial module

In the demo template of Gusto (which I use to learn)-
there is a "Home Bottom C Testimonial" module.There used to be dots (visible on the frontend) below the testimonial phrases so visitors could click through different testimonials
I changed some of the verbage using the text editor in the edit module area. In doing so, I deleted some code that made those dots appear and function... how can I get them back?

Another note- I reloaded the template and got the original Testimonials module back -- HOWEVER when I make a duplicate of the module (trying to be a bit smarter this time)
It still does not fade in the same way and ANY changes to the text will cause the dots(sued to navigate from one testimonial to the next) to disappear.

What is happening? Any suggestions?

Please do not edit the html module the Joomla Tiny editor.

And the module animations can be setup in the theme settings > Module
