[SOLVED] New style not used for Home page

Hello,
I have used the Template Manager and the Customizer to create a new layout and style combination.
In the Customizer all pages use the modified style, but after Save and Close the Home page still uses the style default.
Using Joomla Menus-Main Menu the Home item seems to use the new Template Style but using Firefox+F12 shows style=default for the Home Page.

please delete all the layouts you dont need

There were two layouts delivered with the template which I deleted as I was advised. Remaining was now the default layout and after save and close the Home page started using my new style. I then added a new layout (thought modifying the default is not OK) which I intended uses for all pages.
After save and close with this new layout the Home page started using the default style again.
Then switched to the default layout again and Home page was still using my new style.
Then switched to my new layout again and now the Home page is using the new style (!?)
Anyway, its working, Thank you for the support!
