Hi there,
1.) For the logo you can use an image file to ( logo.png) and insert the image into the logo module position. Otherwise you have to edit the css for the logo h1:

<h1 style="color:#fff;font-weight:100;margin-bottom:40px;font-size:14px" class="uk-text-center">ROOMS</h1>

2.) The background for the left side is based on the whole site property, that means it is always 100% width.
Left Side = 40%
Right Side = 60%
Background = 100%

No you can not change the 100% width to 50% any any other percent.
But you can create an image with Photoshop > 40/60 ratio.
40% = your image
60% = white color
Just an idea, dont know if it works!

Hello,

I have set the css in the module left logo from this
<h1 class="uk-text-center" style="color: #fff; font-weight: 100; margin-bottom: 40px; font-size: 48px;">Messi van de Molendreef</h1>

to this
<h1 class="uk-text-center" style="color: #fff; font-weight: 100; margin-bottom: 40px; font-size: 48px;">Messi van de Molendreef</h1>

But I don't have any results, stil the words are kept between the wide of the menu!
