HighRes logo next to normal logo
Hi,
Nowadays, people start to use high resolution screens to look at sites (think about the latest Mac's with Retina displays or the Dell Precision M3800,...).
Is it possible to configure different logo's so that a normal screen will use eg. a 72dpi logo, while a highres screen would be using a logo with a lot more pixel density ?
Eg. I'm using the Xtra template and can see a noticeable difference between my 72dpi logo, displayed on a normal screen and a Retina display.
I believe this will become more and more important as we are seeing more 4K displays entering the consumer market.
Thanks,
Mario

Yes youre right, 4k display coming more and more.
And we have tested the Xtra theme on our Macbook Pro Retina and it looks great if you are using a "24bit png" for the logo.

So if I understand well, you would always use a 24bit logo ?
For a screen that would only need a 72dpi logo, this would cause unnecessary delays in loading the HiRes logo.
Is it not possible to have a more specific setup so that the HiRes logo is only used when needed ?

The loading time between png and jpg is minimal.
There is no solution to add another image file for retina displays.
