Removing various positions
I found the positions to disable in the backend. However I have no need for
toolbar-r and toolbar-l
Breadcrumbs.
They seem to place spacings/Placeholders even if not in use so I am interested in a way to remove them OR diminish the empty place between my other element on the site. Is there a way to do this?

Its a Joomla question and has nothing todo with the template.
You can enable and disable the modules at the module itself > Assignment:

Ahh, no. I know how to put modules up and down, I am talking about the Module PLACES in the template. if you look at my site:
www.ta-rs.de/
you see that there are big empty white places above and below the headline (TAICHI-AKADEMIE RHEIN-SIEG) and the slideshow, for instance. I moved them around the various Module places up there, but the general area in white is the same. So my (probably wrong) thinking was that if I remove or deactivate those module places from the template itself it all becomes a bit more closer together. Sorry for my bad phrasing and the caused misunderstanding.

Unfortunately, ther is no control for Toolbar-L and Logo. Is there a workaround?
