Sorry, dont know what do you want with the "index.php" file in root folder.

Hi again, you dont have to edit any PHP file.
What do you want to change? All things must be changed in the template options!

Insert your Google Analytics tracking code or any other additional scripts here.
>> Template Options > Settings > Additional Script See image below
They will be added before the closing body tag in the theme.

The second option is to add the code into the file > layouts > theme.php
