How do I get an border (colour) around articles which are not published (expired). Some of these article still appear (as designed by Joomla) on the page but they should be marked with a border colour to indicate that they are expired.
These articles will only been display for user with rights to edit articles.

Backend or Frontend?

Maybe this feature is no more available since Joomla 3.6.4 is out!
You can check it, if you change the theme to protostar.

I have check with prostar and then there is an indicator "Verlopen" which is Dutch for Expired. So with Prostar it works. I would be nice that such an indicator is also dislayed with the JoomlaPlates templates.
I'm on the latest version of Joomla.

It's in the frontend. When an article has expired and the user has rights to edit documents (in the fronend) then this indicator should be shown. Prostar displayes Expired and other templates draw a colour border around the article to show it has expired.

My Joomlapates doesn't show anything and this is confusing for edit user because they see information which has expired. The only way to see that it's not visible for these user is to logout.
Joomlaplates template doesn''t show any indicator which informs the user with edit capabilities. I'm don't know what's is causing this bug, Warp or Joomlaplates.

In attached Image you see the orange marker "Verlopen" (Expired). And the second Image based on JoomaPlates which is lacking the "Verlopen" marker.

Hi again,
here is the original Master2 theme with org Warp7 framework.
Please install this theme and check if the issue is always there on Warp theme.
If you get the same result its a Warp based issue, or maybe this feature is not supported by the Warp7 framework
