Installed the Maximum template, and clicking 'Customizer' button gets 'Retrieving styles data failed!'

I followed the instructions for building a new menu module and placing it in the 'off-canvas' position, but still get no menu on a mobile.

Also, the instructions do not indicate how to resolve the 'Retrieving styles data failed!' message.

I'd really like to keep this template, as otherwise it is clean looking. But it needs a mobile menu.

Does the menu used need to be named 'Main Menu' or have a menu type of 'mainmenu' in order to allow the mobile menu to show up? I have built a menu named 'MAX_Main_Menu' while the module is named 'MAX_Menu' in the 'menu' position. The copied module in the 'off-canvas' position is also named 'MAX_Menu'.

I am using the 'Blue' style.
