Hi folks

I am fairly new to Joomla so please bear with me. I have attempted to install the Pasta template quickstart installation. The installation fails on step 3. I enter all the information required on step 3 and this is accepted, then a dialog box appears showing the files installing, however after a period of time this stops and the step 4 screen reappears. Has anyone got any idea why this happens and how to resolve it?

Hi Ewan, more details please. Php version, Hoster and so on!
And please make sure that your Hoster is Joomla compatible and you have uploaded all files and these files has the right permission.

Thanks for the reply. My PHP version is 5.4.2, apache v 2.4.12, MYSQL version 5.5.42-cll. The hosting company is UK2.net. Yes, it is Joomla compatible. I saw that you provided a Joomla installation service, but had hoped this would be easy to do myself with quickstart.

Try this one, its faster and more save:
1.) Download the unzip file
2.) Copy the unzip.php to your Joomla installation folder
3.) Set the permission to 0755 for unzip.php
4.) Copy the quickstart.zip to your Joomla installation folder too
5.) Set the permission to 0755
6.) And now goto your domain.com/unzip.php and select the zip file
>> And then try again to install Joomla

I'm now getting the following message within a minute or so of attempting to unzip the quickstart-j3.zip file from the unzip.php file.....
