Main Menu Question

Main Menu Question was created by ginageick

Hi there.. I'm looking to set up different sections of website with different colours. I also want that reflected in the main menu. Normally (I'm new to warp), I would add a custom class to the menu link and define in my css file. That, however, does not seem to work here. While I have the (default Joomla) option to do so in my menu items, the class is not actually added.

Dev URL 64.34.65.20/~noojmowinteg/
To clarify.. I want different hover or background hover colours for different links.

Any help/suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Hi there,
you can do that with different css menu class suffixes.
And you can add your css class to the css/custom.css

Thanks.. but that's exactly what I said in my question. I HAVE an added menu class, however, it is not there on output. In the html, the first level item shows class="uk-parent" when it should show class="uk-parent green" (see screenshot). What am I missing?

That's the menu system I usually use on all sites. I've uninstalled it now and the result is still the same.
Another question has popped up... how do I load modules into the drop downs? Is it not possible with this menu system?
Thanks for looking into this!

Ok.. due to time restraints, I may have to go back to using a menu system I am more familiar with. How do I put a different menu system in place of the one called for in the template? Simply unpublishing it produces unexpected results.

To clarify: I need to change to a different menu system - how do I accomplish that?
