[SOLVED] Logic of Joomla Modules

Yesterday I asked a question about opening a lightbox window out of roksprocket. I played a little bit with the solution but it was not realy satisfying. I think my core issue is a lack of understanding of basic Joomla logic and I hope it is okay if I post this here. What I wont to do is using roksprocket to display pictures of ice cream flavors. On click on one of the pictures a detailed desription (picture and text) should be shown. Here is my example:
www.idftest.icedreamfactory.com/index.ph...ms/ice-dream-flavors
I have created one article for each ice cream flavor. The pictures selection is shown in module position "top-d" and my idea is to link this to the article. In principle this is working but only the first article is linked to the "right" menue item. If I select one of the other flavors/articles the page is switching to another menue entry and other modules are shown. But I want that the main menue item and the page setup sticks to the ice dream flavors menu entry. How can I achive this? Am I using the template in a total wrong way and there is another/easier solution?
And I have two additional questions that are related to this. It's about the Joomla content area. Is it possible to show a page without a Joomla content area only with other modules? And how can I change the layout of the content area e.g. changing background color?

I just found the answer to the last question convcerning the layout of the main content area. I think it' s the "Base" section in the customizer.
